Yes, there is sugar in ketsup, but take a look at this Burger Beauty. We've removed the bun and replaced it with a nice thick piece of home-made, whole wheat bread with NO added sugar, so felt completely justified in serving this turkey burger with a dollop of the red stuff.Look boring? Well, it's not, because the turkey meat holds so much flavor it's a party for your mouth. Here's how it's done:
In a large mixing bowl place:
1 LB ground turkey meat
1/2 large green bell pepper, finely chopped
1/2 onion, finely chopped
Dash of Soy
1 healthy tsp fresh ginger, finely grated over mixture
1 small clove of garlic, finely grated over the mixture
Salt and Pepper to taste
Put both hands into the bowl and squash it all together, then form the patties and place them in large skillet on medium-high heat. Saute until beautiful. Place your choice of cheese on top of the pattie and cover until it melts. Serve on a small bed of your choice of lettuce and have plenty of condiments around to add more zing. This makes a simple, super tasty and satisfying meal, and it doesn't hurt to have a nice glass of wine with it either. We love it, and you will too, friends. Promise.
