Jake's Steak Sandwich!


This tasty creation was submitted to S365 by

Miami, Florida
Ingrédients
1 New York Strip {cut 1/2 inch thick}
1 Small Onion
1 Large Portabello mushroom {sliced}
1/2 Avocado
Hot Sauce ~ to taste
1 tsp Horseradish Sauce
1 Mini French Baguette
1 Slice Pepper Jack Cheese
1/2 tsp Butter
1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Salt & Pepper ~ to taste
Préparation
Avocado Puree:
Combine well {by hand or food processor}
1/2 Avocado
1 tsp Horseradish Sauce
Hot Sauce ~ to taste
Set aside
New York Strip:
Season with Salt & Pepper
Grill over hot coals approx. 7 min per side
Onions & Peppers:
In small saute pan melt 1 tsp butter
Saute Onions, salt & pepper until caramelized
Remove and set aside
In same saute pan heat 1 tsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Add sliced Portabello Mushrooms and cook until tender
Remove from heat, set aside
Baguette:
Slice Baguette, but not all the way thru
Butter both sides and place back on grill until crispy
Assemblée:
Layer Steak, Mushrooms, Onions & top with Cheese
Place under broiler until cheese is melted to perfection!
Spread or Dip with Spicy Avocado Puree & ENJOY!
