Lettuce Wraps, Sandwich or No?

This lovely lettuce wrap from California Pizza Kitchen is in my book part sandwich, part salad. Technically, however since there is no bread or startch involved with eating this dish I am reluctant to call it a sandwich. What do you think? Sandwich or No?

peanut butter and banana on bread dipped in egg and fried like french toast! YEAH!!!

The fourth Earl of Sandwich, in a long-running high-stakes cribbage game, needed sustenance, so he asked for a hunk of meat between two pieces of bread so he wouldn't get his hands dirty and inadvertently "mark" the cards, giving his opponents a subtle advantage. And thus the sandwich was born.

"Mr. Deeds Goes To Town"

In this 1939 Frank Capra film, Longfellow Deeds (Gary Cooper) plays a simple-hearted tuba player who inherits 20 million dollars along with a boatload of problems, so decides to give the money away. Hundreds of people line up at his door as Deeds takes on one recipient at a time until exhausted and hungry. Next in line to recieve his share is Mr. Svenson. Deeds asks Svenson if he can wait a few minutes while he stops to have a quick sandwich. It so happens Svenson is holding a paper bag from which he produces a sandwich and hands to Deeds. What was the 2nd item Svenson took from his bag?
