The Sandwich and The Queen!

Queen Rania of Jordon has taken a page from her own life experience and written a sweet story about it in her new children's book entitled"The Sandwich Swap".

Queen Rania's story is based on an incident that took place at the international school she attended as a child. At lunch one day an American school mate sat down next to her, opened her lunch box and took out a sandwich oozing with gooey, brown and purply substances. Upon seeing it, the Queen curled up her lip and went back to eating her own lunch, a pita pocket full of hummus.

Before long, the girls swapped sandwiches and became fast friends. The Queen fell in love with peanut butter and jelly, and her American mate couldn't get enough of the savory hummus.

Once again, our world shows us how a wholesome little sandwich can be a metaphor for life, and in this case a lesson in diversity.

The Sandwich Swap is a lovely new tale that introduces children about bridging the gap between cultures, ideas and sandwiches!

Naturally, I love this story!!!
Lily and Salma are best friends. They play together and stick together through thick and thin. But who would have ever thought that ordinary peanut butter or plain old hummus could come between them? Lily and Salma don’t quite understand each other’s tastes, but does that mean they can't be friends?
