"Hamburger America" A TV Series?

"Hamburger America" a book by George Motz features 100 of the best roadside burger stands, nostalgic diners, mom 'n pop establishments, and college town favorites - and tells exactly where to find them. Personally, I think this Mr. Motz is a real hero! What a terrific way to honor a simple part of American heritage, the hamburger sandwich.
Famous food writer and world traveler Anthony Bourdian's opinion of the book ? "A fine overview of the best practitioners of the Burger Sciences". If you aren't in a position to jump in the car and travel the country, start by stopping by the website http://www.hamburgeramerica.com/. There you will find more info about the book and the author, George Motz who developed a documentary film called "Hamburger America" which was released on the Sundance Channel in 2005, and get this, he even taught a course on hamburgers at NYU, consulted for Wendy's Hamburgers, and NY chef Harry Hawk named a burger after him. In 2006, Hamburger America (the Film) became required viewing in a food course at Princeton University and was nominated for a James Beard Award. And now "Hamburger America" is said to be in development for a TV series. This should be interesting, indeed. I'll keep you posted.

  2. Sorry I never stopped by. I try to visit all my visitors.

Seems there has to be more than 100 good hamburger places. Thanks for the review, sounds like an interesting book.
